Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carol Yung. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Carol, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose? From a young age, I discovered my calling. I’ve always been drawn to people, to helping and connecting with them. As a child, I would prepare fruit baskets for the elderly in my community, visiting them and spending hours in their company. These interactions were mutually enjoyable and fulfilling.

My entrepreneurial spirit was ignited when I was around 10 years old, during a seemingly ordinary school bus ride. After a long day at school, hunger pains were common among us kids. One day, I happened to have some chips in my bag. As I pulled them out, the kids around me eagerly asked for some. I shared, but an idea sparked in my mind. What if I could sell small bags of chips to these kids to make money. My mother had recently bought a large bag of Ruffles chips – the greasy, ridged, and irresistibly tasty ones. I asked her about the cost, and she said it was $2.99. I calculated that if I sold six small bags for $1 each, I could double the investment. Two days later, I managed to sell five bags, as one kid had forgotten their money at home. I gave them a bag for free, not wanting them to feel left out. This incident reinforced my belief in inclusivity and kindness.

I expanded my little venture by adding Rice Krispy treats, candy, and cookies to my offerings, thereby increasing my revenue. As I grew older, I began to share my entrepreneurial knowledge with other kids, teaching them how to generate revenue by selling things. This was the beginning of my journey into coaching, further solidifying my purpose in life. Then when my mother passed away, it transformed my life in a way that I didn’t expect. After I packed up what was left of her belongings it dawned on me that when we die material things do not matter, but the impact that you make on someone’s life is forever. I vowed that I was going to live my life on purpose, stay positive through adversity, and pour into others to create the life that they love to live. Then BE BOLD Institute was born.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?I am the CEO and Founder of two companies, BE BOLD Institute and Cabby’s Crafty Baskets. The mission of BE BOLD Institute is to inspire, give hope and show the world that everything is possible to achieve with the right actionable steps. We coach and motivate each individual to know their purpose, to bring the best version of themselves and BE BOLD enough to make their dreams come true while positively impacting the world. We bridge the gap between parents and children by building healthy relationships through coaching, entrepreneurship and assisting them in building a family legacy. We do business coaching, life coaching and business consulting. Right now, we are laser focused on building our BE BOLD Kids Academy youth entrepreneurship programs. We absolutely love what we do in coaching both youth and parents on the A-Zs of entrepreneurship with the result of them launching their businesses and making a positive impact in the community by starting a business and creating jobs. One parent said, “this is what is missing from the school curriculums and should be incorporated to enhance our future leaders of tomorrow”.At the BE BOLD Institute, we are making a BOLD statement with our dedication in helping individuals achieve their dreams and being the change we wish to see in the world. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?I firmly believe that the triad of perseverance, self-motivation, and positivity has been instrumental in shaping my journey. My path has been long and winding, but I am grateful for the setbacks. I don’t perceive them as failures, but rather as valuable lessons. Understanding failure is crucial to comprehending success, and the road to success is inevitably paved with minor and major setbacks.

However, maintaining a positive outlook is key. Knowing that you have the ability to pivot, recalibrate, and realign keeps your focus sharp and your determination unwavering. Self-motivation has been a constant companion on my journey, as I’ve come to realize that nothing in this world is handed to you on a silver platter. If you desire something, you must envision it and take the necessary steps to make it a reality. This has been my mantra since I was 10 years old.

I dream, and while I may not always know the exact path to achieving my goals, things always fall into place. Every rejection I encounter only fuels my determination to push harder, to seek that elusive “yes”. Often, this means exploring alternative routes to reach my goal and not allowing myself to be immobilized by challenging times.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?I am seeking individuals who are not just interested in the financial aspect of a business, but who also value the importance of nurturing the next generation of leaders. I am looking for those who understand the significance of empowering the youth, equipping them with the right skills and knowledge to navigate the world of entrepreneurship.

I am also interested in partnering with those who believe in the power of family businesses. I believe that family businesses are not just about profit-making, but also about strengthening family bonds, instilling values, and creating a legacy. I am looking for someone who shares this belief and is willing to invest time and resources into building a family business that will not only provide financial stability but also serve as a platform for teaching life skills and values to the younger generation.

Moreover, I am looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the world. Someone who believes that businesses should not only be profit-driven but should also contribute to the betterment of society. I am looking for someone who is willing to use their resources, skills, and influence to create opportunities for others, especially those who are less fortunate.

In essence, I am looking for a partner who shares my vision of coaching parents and children on creating a business that is not only financially successful, but also socially responsible. A partner who understands that success is not just about making money, but also about making a difference in the lives of others. If you share these values and this vision, I would love to explore the possibility of a partnership or collaboration. Together, we can create magic!

We are also looking for investors, sponsors, and influencers to further amplify the message about what we are doing at the BE BOLD Institute. If you are interested, we can be reached at support@BEBOLD2DAY.com or via phone at 470.983.9022.
